Land Development Office

The Durham Land Development Office public access site is one more way the City and County are striving to make doing business with your local government easier and more efficient. This site is intended to give you access to information about your permits and applications anytime and anywhere that you have access to the web.

If you have applied for or have current Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or Backflow Preventer permits; or have submitted plans or applications to Planning or Public Works this site will allow you to check on the current status of your application or permit. You can also check on a Code Enforcement issues at a particular address or by case number.

You may also use this site to make application for an Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing, or Backflow Preventer permit if you are a registered contractor with a userID and PIN. Anyone can use the site to anonymously report a suspected Code Enforcement violation.

Several functions require login credentials: obtaining a detailed application/permit status including comments, applying for an application, and scheduling an inspection. To obtain a userID and PIN, please contact the department with which you have made application or from which you hold permits.
